OpenAI says intent, not identity, will power ChatGPT ad targeting

Digiday reports that OpenAI’s Samantha Jacobson told Advertising Week New York that ChatGPT ads target what users ask, not who they are, calling identity-based profiling something that “felt really creepy.”
