Netflix renews its original podcast slate
Simon Owens’s Media Newsletter reports that Netflix is renewing early podcasts like Murder with My Husband and The Pete Davidson Show while adding new titles from Katt Williams and Harlan Coben.
Why it matters. Podcasts cost far less per hour than scripted shows, so Netflix can use them to cut churn without betting on subscriber growth.
