Clear Channel hires TV veterans to overhaul out-of-home measurement

Adweek’s Bill Bradley reports that Clear Channel Outdoor, now private after Mubadala Capital’s $6.2 billion acquisition, has named former Univision CEO Wade Davis as CEO and executive chairman and ex-Paramount ads chief John Halley as chief commercial officer, replacing outgoing CEO Scott Wells.

Why it matters. Out-of-home buyers can expect Clear Channel to push programmatic, standardized currency and outcomes-based proof points that put the medium in direct competition with TV’s measurement pitch.
